What is Adventure Coin?
Adventure Coin is a location based mobile game. You travel to real world GPS coordinates and claim ADV, a utility token. Each coordinate can be claimed once.
What is ADV?
ADV is the in game utility token. It runs on the Base network, an Ethereum layer 2. The total supply is fixed at 65,341 tokens, one per coordinate. ADV is not a security and not an investment product.
What is a coordinate?
A coordinate is a fixed GPS point in the real world. To claim it you have to physically be there. Coordinates have different rarity tiers depending on how unique the location is, from Basic up to Legendary.
How do I claim a coordinate?
Open the app, travel to the coordinate, and when you are close enough the claim button becomes active. The app reads your GPS position to confirm you are there, then records the claim.
How do I get a wallet?
The app creates one for you automatically on first launch. The wallet is non custodial, which means only you control it. The private key is stored on your device, in the iOS Secure Enclave or the Android Keystore. Write down your recovery phrase and keep it offline.
Can I use my own wallet?
Yes. You can connect an external wallet such as Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, or Rainbow using WalletConnect.
How do I get ADV?
ADV is earned by claiming coordinates. You can also trade for it on the in app peer to peer marketplace, where users buy and sell ADV against USDC. To get USDC or ETH, fund an external wallet through that wallet's own purchase feature. Adventure Coin does not sell cryptocurrency and does not handle card payments.
What does it cost?
Claiming and trading involve small network fees on the Base network, paid in ETH. These fees go to the network, not to Adventure Coin.
Is my location tracked?
No. The app reads your GPS position only at the moment you claim a coordinate, to confirm you are there. It does not record a location history and it does not track you between claims. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
I lost my recovery phrase. Can you help?
No. The recovery phrase never leaves your device and we never see it. If you lose it and also lose access to your device, the wallet cannot be restored. Back up your phrase on paper and store it offline.
